There are wines designed in an office and wines born from an obsession. This Reserva is one of the latter.
Verónica Salgado reserved the best of her oldest vineyards in Pesquera de Duero to create her ultimate "Capricho." It's not one of those Reservas that flood supermarket shelves with gold labels and the aroma of old wood.
It is a wine that has waited. two years in French oak barrels so that you don't have to wait at all when you uncork it.
What you will find:
It's a serious wine. One of those with such an intense color that it seems to stare at you. It smells of very ripe black fruit, cocoa, and those mineral notes that only vineyards with grapes can produce. eight decades sinking its root into the limestone soil.
The difference between marketing and true viticulture is evident on the palate. It has an imposing structure, yet the tannins are so well-polished they feel like a caress on your palate. It's long, complex, and evolves in the glass with every passing minute.
