Leukade author old strains

There are wines that are made with the head and others that are made with the gut. Leukade It is the result of both things. Oscar Tobía decided to create this wine to pay homage to the "light" of his land, selecting the oldest and wisest plots on his property.

This is a wine that transcends trends and rigid rules. It is a 100% Signature Wine.

Why is he an "outstanding" person? It comes from low-yielding vineyards (barely a couple of bunches per vine) with an average age of 80 years. That concentration of flavor is impossible to replicate in young vines. Furthermore, Oscar uses a combination of Tempranillo and a touch of Graciano, that rebellious grape that gives it spectacular freshness and longevity.

The author's imprint: She has been raised in new fine-grained French oak barrels. This gives it an imposing structure, but without the wood feeling like a mere "piece of furniture." It's the perfect support for a fruit that bursts in your mouth.

What you're going to feel: Has 14.5º and a deep purple, almost black, color. On the nose, it's a whirlwind of nuances: stewed black fruit, mineral notes, licorice, chocolate, and a background of exotic spices that evolves as it aerates in the glass. On the palate, it's dense, fleshy, the kind you practically chew, but with such an elegant finish that it leaves you speechless.
