There are two ways to drink Rioja.
The first option is to buy the bottle with the most gold label in the supermarket and settle for a splintery taste that leaves your mouth dry.
The second is to try what Víctor and Pablo have brought from Tobelos.
This Crianza isn't made on a long assembly line. It's crafted in a winery overlooking the Ebro River, where the grapes are valued above all else, even marketing. It has spent 13 months in oak barrels (French, American, and Hungarian), not to mask the flavor, but to impart a complexity that makes you want a second sip without hesitation.
What does it taste like?
It tastes like a good wine should: ripe red fruit, a touch of spice, and a job well done. You don't need to be a sommelier to realize this is in a league of its own.
It's the wine you put on the table when you want that friend who "knows about wine" to ask you where on earth you got it.
A warning: This isn't a wine with unlimited production. If you see it's in stock, buy it now. If you wait until tomorrow and the listing is empty, don't write to us asking for miracles. Here, the wine sells out because it's good, not because we're on TV.
