If you go to any supermarket, you'll see shelves full of "Verdejo" wines at ridiculously low prices. The problem is that most of them taste the same: fizzy water with artificial flavoring.

Ten Centuries Verdejo It's the antidote to boredom in Rueda.

This wine comes from a selection of vineyards located at an altitude of over 700 meters, where the soil is full of pebbles (those "gravels" that the vines love so much). The grapes are harvested at night so they arrive at the winery fresh and don't lose a single ounce of their aroma along the way.

Why is this one different? Because they're in no hurry. After fermentation, the wine rests on its fine lees for a few months. What does that mean for you? It means that when you drink it, you won't find it to be a "thin" wine. You'll find it to be a white wine with body, with a certain "richness" on the palate that makes it much more interesting than average.

What you'll notice when you uncork it: Has 13th And a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections that already hint at its freshness. On the nose, it's a festival of classic aromas: fennel, green apple, and citrus notes. On the palate, it's an explosion of freshness, with a well-balanced acidity and that slightly bitter finish—typical of a great Verdejo—that cleanses the palate and leaves you ready for the next bite.

It's the white wine that always works. Whether it's for a spontaneous aperitif or to accompany baked fish, this wine has the strength to hold its own.

A word from those in the know: Diez Siglos is one of those wineries that prefers to let its wine speak for itself rather than spend money on television advertising. That's why its value for money is, frankly, hard to beat. If you're looking for "real" Verdejo, the kind that the Rueda winegrowers themselves would drink, this is it.
